After several years of teaching and running dive centres in places as diverse as Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines, PADI IDC Staff Instructors Graeme Sanson and Jen Will jumped at taking over a shop of their own in an area they believe has some of the best diving in the world. With over 3,000 dives each and certification numbers running into the hundreds, Grae and Jen are reasonably experienced diving instructors. They are also both Trimix divers, and have dived beyond 100m.
Probably the first person you’ll meet at Dive Munda, either when she presents you with a lei at the airstrip or you walk into the shop, is our shop manager, Ahi. Ahi knows pretty much everyone and everything there is to know in the Roviana Lagoon
Sunga is a certified PADI Divemaster with more dives than he can remember. His years of experience on the reefs around Munda mean that he can always find what you’re looking for.
Solomon is a Rescue Diver, and well on his way to Divemaster. Paloso is also a Rescue Diver, and both are experienced boat handlers.
Euna and Jenno are currently Rescue Divers and Divemaster Trainees. They love diving and share the incredible ability to spot things underwater possessed by so many people here.
And then there’s MV Rumblefish, our new boat. A 12m Bakewell-White RHIB with twin 225HP Yamaha 4-stroke engines, Rumblefish will allow us to carry more divers more comfortably to more places. She’s due to arrive in Munda in the middle of October 2011.
